Runners from Spring complete the Smiles for Bob 5K
Two runners from Spring completed the Smiles for Bob 5K on Saturday, June 23 in Elgin, Ill.
Dan Boulanger, 30, completed the race in 25:58, and Sara Hudgens, 27 crossed the finish line in 21:27.
A total of 321 runners finished the 5K race, which was held in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The proceeds of the race went to the American Cancer Society.
Mario Salazan of Elgin was the men’s overall winner with a time of 17:19, while Britney Whitehead, also of Elgin, was the women’s winner in 19:19.
