New Caney graduate Dunn has 25 home runs at the break

New Caney High School graduate Adam Dunn had a productive day, but the White Sox fell to the Blue Jays, 11-9, Sunday, July 12.

Dunn went 1-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a walk.

On the season, Dunn is batting .208 with 25 home runs and 61 RBIs.

The Cincinnati Reds drafted Dunn in the second round (50th overall) of the 1998 amateur draft. He made his Major League debut on July 20, 2001, and went on to set a rookie record for most home runs in a month, with 12, in August 2001.

Dunn spent parts of eight seasons with the Reds before being traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Aug. 11, 2008, for three players. A free agent after the season for the first time, he signed a two-year contract to play for the Washington Nationals. On Dec. 2, 2010, Dunn signed a four-year, $56M contract with the Chicago White Sox.

Dunn was born Nov. 9, 1979, in Houston.
