Churchgoers from Spring head off on mission to Honduras
Spring-based missionaries set off July 8 to do work in Honduras.
Churchgoers with Faithbridge, a United Methodist Church Hope for Honduras mission, set off on July 8 to do mission work in Honduras.
According to a press release, economic and social factors have made Honduras the second-poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, and the missionaries will provide assistance, food and clothing to residents during the trip.
Approximately 53 percent of Hondurans live in rural areas and 75 percent of that population lives in extreme poverty, according to the International Fund for Agricultural Development, cited in the press release.
