Klein alum impressive in RockHounds victory
Jeremy Barfield, a 2006 graduate of Klein High School, collected two hits to lead the Midland RockHounds to a 16-4 victory over San Antonio in Double-A Texas League action on Saturday.
The second baseman went 2-6 with two runs in the game.
On the season, Barfield has hit .275 with eight home runs and 48 RBI.
Barfield was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the eighth round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft after playing at San Jacinto College North.
He is the son of former All-Star Jesse Barfield and brother of Major League infielder Josh Barfield.
