Klein student takes first at HOSA National Conference
High school students in the Klein ISD participated in the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) National Conference held June 20-23, 2012, at the Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Fla.
Klein High School senior Komal Nathani recently took first place in the Knowledge Test: Concepts of Healthcare category at the Health Occupation Students of America National Conference held in June at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando.
Other Klein students also placed at the conference, including Megan Bryne, Xochitl Corona, Michael Lin, Ruth Obnamia, Radly Peralta and Ahsen Soomro, who placed third in the Public Service Announcement competition.
Claudia Chan from Klein Oak was a national finalist by placing in the top 10 percent in the Kaiser Permante Health Care Issues Exam.
The Klein Collins team, consisting of Kanika Bhandari, Lakshmi Pillai, Srirasika Reddy and April Tiu, finished in the top 10 in the Health Education Contest.
