New Life Church to distribute items to low-income communities
New Life Church will be providing essential items to low-income communities from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 at Truevine Baptist Church.
This service is being provided by the OTSHTF Supply Distribution, which is a group of churches consisting of pastors and volunteers from the congregations.
The primary focus of the OTSHTF's efforts will be the community adjacent to Old Town Spring, which is impoverished and deteriorating from high crime rates.
The goal of this task force is to improve the Spring Heights neighborhood by increasing communication with residents, sponsoring events that enhance a sense of community, driving out drugs and working with people who want to improve their situation.
Truevine Baptist Church is located at 27307 Oak St.
