Harris County Sheriff's Office investigates July 1 killing

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the July 1 shooting death of Eric Donnell Johnson at Club Tranz in the northern part of the county, according to a press release.
 
At 5:14 a.m. July 1, District One patrol deputies responded to a shooting call from the club at 345 W. Richey Road. They found the 25-year-old Johnson in critical condition. Johnson was taken to the hospital, where he died at 2:16 p.m.
 
The Harris County Sheriff's Office homicide unit conducted an investigation. Witnesses told investigators that a fight broke out in the club between several men. A man fired into Johnson's vehicle as he drove by it and a bullet struck Johnson in the head as club patrons were leaving, witnesses said.
