New Caney HS grad Adam Dunn can't be stopped

New Caney High School graduate Adam Dunn blasted his 29 th home run of the season, as the White Sox beat the Twins 7-4 Monday.

Dunn hit his two-run shot in the third inning.

On the season, Dunn is batting .211, with 29 home runs and 77 RBIs

The Cincinnati Reds drafted Dunn in the second round (50 th overall) of the 1998 amateur Draft. He made his big league debut on July 20, 2001, and went on to set a rookie record for most home runs in a month, with 12, in August 2001.

Dunn spent eight seasons with the Reds before being traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Aug. 11, 2008, for three players. A free agent after the season for the first time, he signed a two-year contract to play for the Washington Nationals. On Dec. 2, 2010, Dunn signed a four-year, $56 million contract with Chicago.

Dunn was born Nov. 9, 1979, in Houston.
