Klein HS grad David Murphy torches Red Sox
Klein High School graduate David Murphy has a red-hot day, but the Rangers fell to the Red Sox 2-1 Tuesday.
Murphy went 2-for-3, with a double and a walk in the loss.
It was Murphy's 12th two-bagger of the year.
On the season, Murphy is batting .279, with nine home runs, 33 RBIs and seven stolen bases.
After a standout career at Klein, Murphy played college baseball at Baylor University. He was drafted in the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft by the Boston Red Sox.
He became part of the Texas Rangers in 2007 when he was acquired by trade.
