South Montgomery softball league late registration starts Aug. 19

Early registration for the South Montgomery Girls Softball League began July 15, with late registration beginning Sunday, Aug. 19.

Teams are available to girls age 5-18. Opening day of the fall fast-pitch season will be Saturday, Sept. 8.

SMGSL serves South Montgomery County, including The Woodlands, Imperial Oaks and Oak Ridge areas. Recreational leagues are available in the spring and fall. For the serious player, there are year-round tournament teams.

Instructors at SMGSL offer private lessons that cover hitting, pitching and catching.

The league is located at 1080 Pruitt Road, adjacent to Orwall, in The Woodlands.
