Care-Connect aids independent living
Monica Kelly, a caregiver with the Care-Connect Program at the Village at Gleannloch Farms, acts as Paul Ferguson's eyes, helping him pay bills and other tasks he can no longer perform.
Everyone cherishes their independence, but some older people might need help with daily activities to remain living on their own.
Care-Connect at The Village, part of the Village at Gleannloch Farms, has extended its private caregiver assistance program to members of the local community. Care-Connect is licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.
All caregivers who work for Lutheran Social Services of the South Inc. undergo thorough background checks and drug screenings, in addition to extensive interviews.

WHAT THEY ARE SAYING: “I don’t know what I would do without Monica from Care-Connect. She takes care of everything for me; I could not get by without her. She does all of my reading, takes care of my mail, drives me to the doctor and to the store in her car. She is a great help to me. She is my eyes and ears. I couldn’t get along without her.” --Paul Ferguson, a resident of the Village at Gleannloch Farms.
