Spring ISD administration reorganized to better serve students
The Spring Independent School District has implemented various changes in its administration for the upcoming school year, according to a recent press release.
Changes include eliminating the position of executive director for school improvement, creating the new position of executive director of college and career readiness and hiring new principals.
The changes are due in part to the district's goal of transforming into a 21st-century learning organization to better serve its students.
The district has removed the executive director for school improvement position to enable the reorganization of the area superintendents' office, allow more time for coaching principals and improve administrative systems on campuses. The assistant superintendents for administration will take over the duties of the eliminated position.
The new role of executive director of college and career readiness will focus on postsecondary readiness, provide a streamlined approach to counseling and lead the Carl Wunsche Senior High School, Dr. Edward Roberson Middle School and Early College Academy at Southridge.
New principals have also been named at Carl Wunsche Senior High School, Westfield High School and Early College Academy at Southridge.
