Klein HS grad David Murphy shines for Texas
Klein High School graduate David Murphy had a hot night at the plate, but his Texas Rangers fell to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 15-8, Monday.
Murphy went 2-for-4 with a double and a run driven in.
On the season, Murphy is batting .302, with nine home runs, 37 RBIs, and eight stolen bases,
After a standout career at Klein, Murphy played college baseball at Baylor University. He was picked in the 2003 Major League draft by the Boston Red Sox.
He joined the Rangers in 2007 as part of a trade.
