Iron Man Tournament set Aug. 18 at HIS
Houston Indoor Sports will host an Ironman Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 18.
Divisions for the tournament are youth under 10, under 12 and under 14, adults ages 18 and over and coed. The cost is $150 per team or $30 per individual player. Teams must have four skaters and one goalie. Free agent teams will be determined by a random drawing 30 minutes prior to the tournament. No substitutions are permitted.
The 12-minute games will be timed with a running clock with a three minute intermission between each game. Winners of games that end in ties will be decided by a three minute extra play. If still tied, the winner will be determined by a shootout. Penalty shots will be the results of penalties.
Houston Indoor Sports is located at 221 Barren Springs Drive, Houston. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 3-9 p.m. Sunday. Night hours are 6-8 p.m. Monday night and 6-10 p.m. on Tuesday nights.
