Spring contractor sued over Schlumberger facility project
A Spring contractor is being sued over claims it failed to pay a subcontractor for work performed on the Schlumberger facility in Harris County.
American Mechanical Services of Houston filed a lawsuit on July 30 in Harris County District Court against Clifton Construction and Facility Services and Kathryn Clifton, of Spring, citing breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
American Mechanical says in the summer of 2011, the defendants hired it to remodel two restrooms and to install a water heater and mop sink in the Schlumberger facility in Harris County. American Mechanical billed the defendants $49,918.82 for the work but, to date, it has only received one payment of $1,500, according to the brief.
The plaintiff is seeking attorney's fees, court costs and damages. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Kenneth Breitbeil.
