Book clubs to meet at Barbara Bush Branch Library
The Barbara Bush Branch Library will host a series of upcoming book clubs.
The library's Evening Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 to discuss "The Dry Grass of August" by Anna Jean Mayhew. The evening group meets on the second Tuesday of every month. The group is free and open to the public.
The upcoming October selection is part of The Gulf Cost Reads program. The movie "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" will be shown, based on the book by Jonathan Safran Foer.
The Afternoon Book Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 to discuss Alice Hoffman's "The Dovekeepers." The discussion will be repeated at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28.
The Great Books Discussion Group will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 in the WCR Conference Room. The group will discuss "Death of Ivan Ilych" by Leo Tolstoy.
The Barbara Bush Branch Library is located at 6817 Cypresswood Drive, in Spring.
