Leading Ladies opens 8th Texas Repertory Theatre Season
The Texas Repertory Theatre Company will begin its eight anniversary season with a play called "Leading Ladies," opening Thursday, Aug. 23 and running through Sunday, Sept. 16.
According to press release, the comedy, written by Ken Ludwig and directed by Rachel Mattox, revolves around two English Shakespearean actors who pretend to be the long lost beloved nephews of an old lady who is about to die to obtain her fortune, only to discover that the relatives are nieces.
The play will star Jeffrey S. Lane and Steven Fenley, the artistic director of the Texas Repertory. Other cast members will include Lauren Dolk, Don Hampton, Marcy Bannor, David Walker, Mischa Hutchins and Kyle Cameron.
Showings will be on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Admission for the play's preview Thursday, Aug. 23 is $25 and the opening night gala is $45.
The cost for regular admission is $35.
Senior and student discounts will also be available.
