Spring Walmart named in slip-and-fall suit
A Houston woman is suing after, she says, the Spring-area Walmart failed to offer customers a safe shopping environment. Domecia Brown filed a lawsuit on Aug. 13 in Harris County District Court against Walmart Store #849 in Spring, citing negligence. Brown says on Aug. 22, 2010, she was injured when she slipped and fell in an unspecified substance while shopping at the Spring-area Walmart, located near I-45. According to the brief, the injury could have been prevented if store employees would have cleaned up the floor or warned shoppers of the hazard. Brown is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Michael Swaim. Harris County District Court Case No. 2012-46084. This is a report on a civil lawsuit filed at the Harris County Courthouse.
