Texas Repertory Theatre begins eighth season
"Leading Ladies" will kick off the Texas Repertory Theatre's eighth season at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23. Jeffrey S. Lane and Steven Fenley, both of Houston, star as Jack and Leo in the comedy. The two characters are Shakespearean actors who try to pass off as the English nieces of a wealthy elderly woman in Pennsylvania in order to inherit her fortune. "Leading Ladies" was written by Ken Ludwig. Other cast members include Lauren Dolk, Don Hampton, Marcy Bannor, David Walker, Mischa Hutchins and Kyle Cameron. The play will run through Sunday, Sept. 16. Show times are 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets for the Aug. 23 preview performance are $30 for adults, $27 for seniors and military members and $20 for students. Ticket prices for opening night on Friday, Aug. 24 are $50 for adults, $45 for seniors and military members and $30 for students, which includes a champagne toast and hors d'oeurve and dessert buffet. Regular ticket prices for the remaining performances are $40 for adults, $36 for seniors and military members and $25 for students.
