Northwest Flyers kicking off fall youth registration

The Northwest Flyers Track Club is kicking off its fall season with a parent orientation, registration meeting and practice at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Cypress Creek Family YMCA.

The meeting is for the Youth Running Club, which is for beginning or advanced runners ages 6-18, according to the club's website. The registration will take place at the YMCA's covered pavilion and basketball courts.

The Northwest Flyers Track Club is a member of the USA Track and Field association, the national governing body for track in the United States, according to the site. The club has been operating in the northwest Houston area for 25 years.

The Cypress Creek Family YMCA is located at 19915 Texas 249 in Houston.
