Makeup tryouts set for Sept. 23 for TCA Houston volleyball

There are still openings for girls to join a TCA Houston volleyball team for the upcoming season.

Makeup tryouts for the league will be hosted from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at Porter High School, located at 22625 Sandy Lane in Porter.

TCA's program aims for players to strive for excellence and to learn skills that work on and off the court, according to TCA's website. During the program, coaches will focus on both the mental and physical sides of the game with athletes.

Athletes who attend makeup tryouts should bring a copy of their birth certificate, a wallet-sized photo and $40 in cash to cover the tryout fee. There will be a parent meeting at the beginning of each tryout.
