Habitat for Humanity clergy build day set for Oct. 16
All area ministers and church staff are invited to a special Clergy Build Day Tuesday, Oct. 16.
The event will be hosted by the Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County chapter. There will be three phases during the day and volunteers are invited to participate in one or all of the phases.
The day will begin at Kinsmen Lutheran Church, 12100 Champion Forest Drive, Houston, from 8-8:45 a.m. with breakfast and a presentation from a Habitat homeowner.
After breakfast attendees will travel to Habitat NWHC's current neighborhood build at Hamill Crossing where volunteer crew leaders will lead attending clergy and church staff members in accomplishing various construction tasks. The build time at Hamill Crossing will run from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch and a tour of Hamill Crossing from noon to 12:30 p.m.
