Klein Collins football takes on Houston Eisenhower at Thorne Stadium
The Klein Collins High School football team will try to keep momentum on its side when it takes on Houston Eisenhower in a 7 p.m. game Friday, Sept. 7 at Thorne Stadium.
The Tigers rolled past Houston Cypress Woods 35-14 in their opener Sept. 1, sealing the deal with a 14-point fourth quarter.
Blake Jackson rushed for a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Josh Pereson. Pereson also returned a kickoff 89 yards for a score. Jeremy Fair and Tre White also scored rushing touchdowns for the Tigers.
Collins finished the night with 443 yards while holding Cypress Woods to 372 yards. Jackson completed 11 of his 21 passes for 163 yards and White rushed for 123 yards.
Eisenhower lost 21-12 to Fort Bend Hightower in its opener Aug. 31. The Eagles finished with 209 yards. Jericho Worrell ran 27 yards for a touchdown and Rayshawn Givens caught a 22-yard scoring strike from Trevion Roberts. Donald Catalon rushed for 119 yards on 12 carries.
Collins plays Spring Westfield on Thursday, Sept. 13 and will play at Spring on Thursday, Sept. 20. Both games will begin at 7 p.m.
Eisenhower will play host to Fort Bend Bush on Friday, Sept. 14 and will take on League City Clear Springs in a road game Thursday, Sept. 20. The Eagles play Houston MacArthur on Friday, Sept. 28. All three games will begin at 7 p.m.
