High school football: Northland Christian beats Concordia Lutheran easily
Houston Northland Christian High School dominated its football game against Concordia Lutheran on Friday, Sept. 7, cruising to a 28-2 win.
Walker Whitehorn completed five of his nine passes and threw for two touchdowns while Cameron Dickey hit on three of his five passes including a touchdown. Whitehorn also ran for a TD.
Trevion Harris, Darien Simms and Lane Rodgers all caught TD passes as Northland Christian rolled up 309 yards. The Cougars are 2-0 on the season.
Concordia Lutheran had just 146 yards of offense in the game, and got its only points on a safety in the first quarter.
Northland Christian will play at Hitchcock on Friday, Sept. 14 and will play at Westbury Christian on Friday, Sept. 28. The Cougars will take on Faith West Academy on Friday, Oct. 5.
Concordia Lutheran, which fell to 0-2, will play at Houston Second Baptist on Friday, Sept. 14. The Crusaders will play host to Hitchcock on Friday, Sept. 21.
