Spring Westfield visits Klein Collins for a football game Sept. 13
The Spring Westfield Broncos will travel to Klein Collins to take on the Tigers in high school Football action Thursday, Sept. 13.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Klein Memorial Stadium, located at 16715 Stuebner-Airline Road, in Klein.
Klein Collins improved to 2-0 on the season after a nail-biting victory in their last game.
After blowing a nine-point third quarter lead, the Tigers were staring their first loss of the season in the face, finding themselves down 32-28 with two seconds left in the game when quarterback Blake Jackson dropped back and delivered the game-winning, 19-yard touchdown pass to running back Tre White.
The game-winning toss was one of three touchdowns thrown by Jackson to go along with 229 yards threw the air. White's game-winning grab was the second time he found the endzone while accounting for 96 yards from scrimmage.
Spring Westfield improved to 2-0 with a comfortable 38-28 victory over Houston Memorial on Friday, Sept. 7. The Broncos jumped out to a 28-7 first-half lead and held off a comeback attempt by Houston Memorial to secure the victory. Quarterback William Dedon threw for 208 yards and three scores and running back Emmit Raleigh ran for 83 yards and a touchdown in the victory.
Klein Collins' next game will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at the Spring Lions.
Spring Westfield will next play Klein at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21.
