Smashburger to open Sept. 26

The grand opening of Smashburger in Spring is set for Wednesday, Sept. 26.

A new Smashburger location will open in Spring on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Smashburger is named after a cooking method that smashed ground beef onto a flat grill, according to a press release. The restaurant offers more than burgers, with a menu including chicken, hot dogs, salads and sides.

This is the 12th Smashburger to open in the Houston area. The grand opening will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 225 Cypresswood Drive, Spring.

The restaurant chain is based in Denver.
