High school football preview: Dekaney at Klein Oak
The Klein Oak Panthers will host the Dekaney Wildcats in a 5A Region II District 13 varsity football game at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.
Klein Oak, under coach David Smith, is 1-2 (0-1 in conference play) on the season, falling to Kingwood 45-44 on the road Sept. 15.
In that game, Klein Oak's Larenzo Stewart scored 3 touchdowns and ran for 232 yards.
Spring's Dekaney is 2-0 (1-0 in conference play) on the season, winning 35-21 at home over Spring Sept. 14. In that game, Dekaney's D'Juan Hines threw for 205 yards and scored 2 touchdowns.
Willie Amendola is the coach of the Wildcats.
Next, Klein Oak will go on the road and play Klein Collins 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28.
Dekaney will next play at home against Klein Forest at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28.
