For her, must-see TV is medical procedures
Klein High School senior Haley Marek knows her future will involve medical school, and she is heavily involved in Health Occupations Students of America. When asked what she is passionate about, Marek replied, “Making people smile, setting a good example and being a role model for children.” She also says she loves “learning everything I can about health care and the human body.”

FAVORITE CLASS: “Health science technology because you get to experience health care firsthand.”
FAVORITE MUSICAL GENRE: Country. “It reminds me of my family; I was raised listening to it.”
FAVORITE TV SHOW: “ ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ I like seeing all of the medical procedures.”
FAVORITE BOOK: “ ‘Harry Potter.’ I’ve read and reread all of them, and I feel like I know the characters firsthand.”
AMBITION: “I plan to attend medical school and possibly become a surgeon. For undergrad, I am still undecided, but UT is at the top of the list.”
