Klein High, Klein Forest FFA clubs earn national awards

The Klein High and Klein Forest Future Farmers of America clubs recently received awards from the national organization's chapter awards program.

According to a press release, the program gave Klein High a three-star designation and Klein Forest a two-star designation. The clubs were chosen from among 660 candidates around the nation and will be recognized at the 2012 National Future Farmers of America Convention and Expo, taking place Wednesday, Oct. 24 through Saturday, Oct. 27 in Indianapolis.

In addition to the three-star designation, the Klein High chapter received a Gold Emblem rating during the 84th annual Texas FFA Convention in July. The rating recognizes the top 10 percent of chapters that actively implement the FFA mission and strategies, as well activities that emphasize student, chapter and community development.
