Band buff orchestrates musical career path
Reagan Hermsdorf, a sophomore at Klein High School, would love to one day play in the Houston Symphony. KHS band director David Gresens says he is one of the band’s most talented and dedicated members. “As a sophomore, he has already achieved many of the goals that juniors and seniors have yet to achieve,” Gresens said. “In addition to his outstanding musicianship, he is also an excellent citizen and represents Klein High School very well.”

FAVORITE CLASS: “Digital and interactive media, and, of course, band. They are both things I love doing and wish to pursue.”
FAVORITE THING TO DO AFTER SCHOOL: “Marching band because it is a great source of exercise, and it’s so fun to take part in.”
FAVORITE MUSICAL GENRE: “Classical. I really enjoy listening to band music because it’s entertaining and relaxing.”

FAVORITE MOVIE: “ ‘The Avengers.’ It was filled with action and had all my favorite superheroes. ”
AMBITION: “I would like to attend Baylor, SHSU or U of H for a career in band. I’d like to be a band director and one day play French horn for the Houston Symphony.”
