Klein Oak High School earns 2012 College Readiness Award
Klein Oak High School earned the 2012 College Readiness Award from the Texas ACT Council.
The school received the award for being one of 170 high schools in the state to have significant increases in its ACT composite score over a five-year span, and for having an increasing number of students taking the ACT.
An all-time high number of students in Texas took the ACT in 2012, including more than 39 percent of seniors. At Klein Oak, 241 students took the test, with an average composite score of 23.7, 2.9 points above the state composite score and 2.6 points above the national score.
