The Woodlands College Park High School grad plays in University of Michigan's win

The Woodlands College Park High School graduate Lexi Erwin contributed in the University of Michigan's 3-0 victory over the University of Wisconsin in women's college volleyball action.

Erwin, a junior outside hitter, also contributed five digs, three blocks and 17 kills in the win, along with a .295 hitting percentage.

The Wolverines won 25-17, 25-22 and 27-25 at Cliff Keen Arena in Ann Arbor. The team is now 16-12 on the season.

The next contest for University of Michigan is at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at home against Minnesota.

Erwin is a 2010 graduate of The Woodlands College Park High School, where she was a four-year letter winner on the volleyball team. As a senior (2009-10) Erwin was a second-team all-America selection while also earning All-District and All-State First-Team accolades. She was also the county's offensive most valuable player during her senior campaign. As a junior (2008-09) Erwin was First-Team All-District and the county offensive MVP. She earned First-Team All-District honors and the county hitter of the year award during 2007-08 as a sophomore. Erwin was also a four-time academic All-District honoree. She played club volleyball for the Texas Tornadoes and Woodland Stars. Erwin is the daughter of Blane and Karen Erwin, she is enrolled in the college of literature, science and the arts at Michigan. Erwin is from Spring.
