Westfield grad Logan plays for Ole Miss
Spring Westfield High School graduate Ja-Mes Logan caught three passes for 53 yards, but the University of Mississippi dropped a 41-35 football decision to LSU Saturday, Nov. 17 at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, according to the Ole Miss website.
University of Mississippi is now 5-6 on the season. The team's next game is at home against Mississippi State at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24.
Logan is a 2009 graduate of Westfield High School, where he played football for coach Corby Meekins. Logan was a two-time first-team all-District 13-5A honoree and a Jerry Rice Wide Receiver of the Year nominee. Logan was a SuperPrep all-region selection and the No. 84 player in Texas for the class of 2009. He was rated as the No. 85 wide receiver in the country by ESPN and No. 124 by Scout.com. Logan caught 40 passes for 793 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior (2008-09). He collected all-greater Houston accolades from Touchdown Club of Houston. Logan had 21 receptions for 325 yards and six scores during 2007-08 as a junior. Born Oct. 1, 1989 the son of Glenda Logan, he is majoring in criminal justice at Ole Miss. Logan is from Houston.
