Klein Collins grad Simpson plays in Missouri State University loss to Jacksonville
Michael Simpson, a Klein Collins High School graduate, is a freshman forward for the Missouri State University men's basketball team.
Klein Collins High School graduate Michael Simpson contributed two points in Missouri State University's 64-58 home loss to Jacksonville University on Nov. 19 at JQH Arena in Springfield, Mo.
The Missouri State University freshman forward also recorded one block for the Bears, who are 1-2 on the season, according to Missouri State University's website.
Missouri State University's next game is at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 at home against Malone University.
Simpson is a 2012 graduate of Klein Collins High School in Spring where he was a two-time all-district selection, ranked No. 37 on the Greater Houston Top 150 Seniors List and finished his career with over 1000 points. An honors student with a 3.6 GPA, he also played AAU ball for the elite Texas Pro squad. The Spring native is the son of Bob and Mary Anne Simpson.
