Spring Westfield grad Carter plays in Central Florida loss
Spring Westfield High School graduate Gevenia Carter scored 16 points, but her University of Central Florida women's basketball lost 94-73 to Louisville Tuesday, Nov. 20 in Puerto Vallarta, according to Central Florida's website.
The Houston native also recorded a rebound, three assists and one steal for the Knights, who are 1-4 on the season.
Central Florida's also played Wednesday, Nov. 21 as the tournament continued.
Carter, a 5-foot-8 senior guard, is a 2009 graduate of Westfield High School. She was the 12th ranked shooting guard prospect in the country out of high school, according to ESPN.com. The Houston native is the daughter of Telekia Foots and Charles Carter and is majoring in hospitality management.
