Westfield grad Hopes plays in Tennessee State loss
Westfield High School graduate Simone Hopes scored six points in the 62-47 home court loss by Tennessee State University to Kansas State Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Gentry Center in Nashville, according to Tennessee State's website.
The Tennessee State senior forward also recorded eight rebounds, an assist and one steal for the Tigers, who are 1-2 on the season.
Tennessee State's next game is at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 against UAB.
Hopes is a 2009 graduate of Westfield High School in Houston, where she was selected to the All-District 13-5A first team, and named to the Greater Houston Area All-Star team as a senior. Hopes is from Houston and is the daughter of Ron and Sandra Hopes.
