Dekaney grad Nevitt helps Texas Tech to win
Spring Dekaney High School graduate Shunta Nevitt played for Texas Tech University in a 78-48 homecourt win over Nicholls State Saturday, Nov. 24 at United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, according to the Texas Tech website.
Nevitt helped the Lady Raiders improve to 4-1 on the season.
Nevitt is a freshman forward for Texas Tech. She is a 2012 graduate of Spring Dekaney in Houston, where she made the academic all-district team. The Houston native, a human sciences major, is the daughter of Octavius Nevitt and Mozell Frazier-Nevitt.
