Klein Collins grad Hamilton helps in TCU win
Klein Collins High School graduate Veja Hamilton scored eight points in Texas Christian University's 76-70 home win against SMU Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, according to the TCU website.
Hamilton also recorded six rebounds, four assists and a steal for the Horned Frogs, who improved to 2-2 on the season.
Hamilton is a freshman forward and guard for Texas Christian University, and a 2012 graduate of Kingwood High School, where she was a McDonald's All-American nominee. Hamilton was ranked the No. 18 overall rated wing in the country, according to ESPN/HoopGurlz. A four-star rated combo guard, she was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state list in March, scoring 2,228 points. Hamilton is from Spring.
