Spring Westfield grad Carter plays in Central Florida loss
Spring Westfield High School graduate Gevenia Carter scored 15 points but her University of Central Florida lost 62-59 at home to Charlotte Wednesday, Nov. 28 at UCF Arena in Orlando, according to the Central Florida website.
Carter also recorded two rebounds and two assists for the Knights, who are 2-6 on the season.
Carter, a 5-foot-8 senior guard for Central Florida, is a 2009 graduate of Westfield. She was the 12th ranked shooting guard prospect in the country out of high school, according to ESPN.com. The Houston native is the daughter of Telekia Foots and Charles Carter and is majoring in hospitality management.
