Westfield grad Carter plays in University of Central Florida loss to FIU
Gevenia Carter, a graduate of Westfield High School, is a senior guard for the University of Central Florida women's basketball team.
Westfield High School graduate Gevenia Carter contributed two points in the University of Central Florida's 66-49 loss to Florida International University on Thursday, Dec. 13 at U.S. Century Bank Arena in Miami.
The University of Central Florida senior guard also recorded one rebound and three assists for the Knights, who are 3-7 on the season, according to the University of Central Florida's website.
The University of Central Florida's next game is at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17 at home against Presbyterian College.
Carter, a 5-foot-8 senior guard for the University of Central Florida, is a 2009 graduate of Westfield High School. She was the 12th-ranked shooting guard prospect in the country out of high school, according to ESPN.com. The Houston native is the daughter of Telekia Foots and Charles Carter and is majoring in hospitality management.
