Spring Woods grad Whitty plays in Schreiner loss

Spring Woods High School graduate John Whitty scored 14 points in Schreiner University's 71-65 home loss to conference opponent LeTourneau Friday, Dec. 14 at Edington Gymnasium in Kerrville, according to the Schreiner website.

The Houston native also recorded two assists and a block for the Mountaineers, who fell to 4-5 on the season and 2-3 in the American Southwest Conference. Schreiner's next game is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Texas Lutheran.

Whitty is a freshman guard for Schreiner, and a 2012 graduate of Spring Woods High School.
