Westfield High grad Hopes plays in Tennessee State University loss
Houston native Simone Hopes contributed 10 points in Tennessee State University's 66-59 home loss to Cleveland State University on Sunday, Dec. 16 at Gentry Center in Nashville, according to Tennessee State University's website.
The senior forward also recorded three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block for the Tigers, who are 3-6 on the season.
Tennessee State University's next game is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, on the road against Lipscomb University.
Hopes is a 2009 graduate of Westfield High School in Houston, where she was selected to the All-District 13-5A first team. As a senior, she was named to the Greater Houston Area All-Star team.
She is the daughter of Ron and Sandra Hopes.
