Dekaney grad Durley plays in University of Cincinnati loss to Akron
Alexis Durley, a graduate of Dekaney High School, is a freshman guard for the University of Cincinnati women's basketball team.
Dekaney High School graduate Alexis Durley contributed 12 points in the University of Cincinnati's 67-54 loss to the University of Akron on Saturday, Dec. 15 at Rhodes Arena in Akron, Ohio.
The University of Cincinnati freshman guard also recorded four rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Bearcats, who are 6-3 on the season, according to the University of Cincinnati's website.
The University of Cincinnati's next game is at noon Friday, Dec. 21 against Belmont.
Durley, a Houston native and a 2012 graduate of Dekaney High School, was selected as athlete of the week by the Houston Chronicle during her sophomore year. During her senior year, Durley scored 856 points, had 467 assists and 407 steals. The health education major is the daughter of Adrien and Sharon Durley.
