Dekaney grad Nevitt contributes to Texas Tech victory

Spring Dekaney High School graduate Shunta Nevitt played for Texas Tech in its 66-48 win over Oregon State on Dec. 21 at The South Point Arena in Las Vegas, Texas Tech's website reported.

Texas Tech's next game is 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30 at home against Houston.

Nevitt is a freshman forward for Texas Tech University. She is a 2012 graduate of Spring Dekaney High School in Houston, where she made the academic all-district team. The Houston native, a human sciences major, is the daughter of Octavius Nevitt and Mozell Frazier-Nevitt.
