Klein Collins grad Hamilton contributes to Texas Christian victory
Veja Hamilton, a graduate of Klein Collins High School, is a freshman forward and guard for the Texas Christian University women's basketball team.
Klein Collins High School graduate Veja Hamilton contributed two points in Texas Christian's 73-37 home win over Texas-Pan American on Saturday, Dec. 22 at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas Christian's website reported.
The Texas Christian freshman forward and guard also recorded two rebounds, one assist and a steal for the Horned Frogs, who are 6-4 on the season.
Texas Christian's next game is at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Hamilton is a 2012 graduate of Klein Collins High School, where she was a McDonald's All-American nominee. Hamilton was ranked the No. 18 overall rated wing in the country, according to ESPN/HoopGurlz. A four-star rated combo guard, she was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state list in March, scoring 2,228 points. Hamilton is from Spring.
