Westfield grad Hopes plays in Tennessee State loss
Westfield High School graduate Simone Hopes scored four points but Tennessee State lost 88-25 to Louisville Monday, Dec. 31, at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, the Tennessee State website reported.
Hopes also recorded four rebounds and one steal for the Tigers, who are 4-8 on the season.
Tennessee State's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Jacksonville State University.
Hopes is a senior forward for Tennessee State University.She is a 2009 graduate of Westfield High School in Houston, where she was selected to the All-District 13-5A first team, and named to the Greater Houston Area All-Star team as a senior. Hopes is from Houston and is the daughter of Ron and Sandra Hopes.
