Dekaney grad Nevitt helps in Texas Tech victory

Spring Dekaney High School graduate Shunta Nevitt played for Texas Tech in its 86-56 win over Houston Sunday, Dec. 30, at United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, the Texas Tech website reported.
The freshman forward helped Texas Tech improve to 10-2 on the season.
Nevitt is a freshman forward for Texas Tech University. She is a 2012 graduate of Spring Dekaney High School in Houston, where she made the academic all-district team. The Houston native, a human sciences major, is the daughter of Octavius Nevitt and Mozell Frazier-Nevitt.
