Spring grad Smith plays in Dillard loss

Spring High School graduate Brittany Smith scored eight points but Dillard lost 57-41 to Franklin Pierce Sunday, Dec. 30, at Alario Center in Westwego, La., the Dillard website reported.

Smith also recorded three rebounds, and assist and three steals for the Blue Devils, who are 2-10 on the season.

Dillard's next game is 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Talladega College.

Smith is a 5-foot-7 sophomore guard for Dillard University. The Houston native is a 2011 graduate of Spring High School.
