Barbara Bush Library seeking volunteer ESL tutors
The Barbara Bush Library is hosting a training session for volunteer English as a Second Language tutors Saturday, Jan. 12.
The training will run from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
According to an announcement from the library, volunteers do not need to speak another language or have teaching experience. At the workshop, volunteers will be introduced to teaching techniques and materials which will allow them to communicate with non-English-speaking students. After training, volunteers will be matched with a student or small group of students meeting at a mutually convenient time.
The Barbara Bush Library is at 6817 Cypresswood Drive, Spring.
