Klein Collins grad Hamilton plays in Texas Christian loss

Klein Collins High School graduate Veja Hamilton scored four points, but Texas Christian lost 74-35 at home to conference rival Baylor Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, the TCU website reported.

Hamilton also recorded four rebounds, an assist and two steals for the Horned Frogs, who are 7-5 on the season and 0-1 in the Big 12.

Texas Christian's next game is 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Kansas State University.

Hamilton is a freshman forward and guard for Texas Christian University. She is a 2012 graduate of Klein Collins High School, where she was a McDonald's All-American nominee. Hamilton was ranked the No. 18 overall rated wing in the country, according to ESPN/HoopGurlz. A four-star rated combo guard, she was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state list in March, scoring 2,228 points. Hamilton is from Spring.
